Thank you Chris for inspiring us during this great Think-shop! People from across West Texas gathered to discuss: Why would someone join The Mother Church -- The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts? What did the Founder of this Church expect of its members? What impact does/can membership in this church have on its members, their families, branch churches, communities and the world? Is it as big as Mary Baker Eddy, the Founder of this Church, intended? What’s the point of membership … and how can we realize more of its promise in our lives?

- what sorts of demands, as well as promises and blessings, accompany membership in The Mother Church – the church which Mrs. Eddy
describes, in part, as “…designed to be built on the Rock, Christ; even the understanding and demonstration of divine Truth, Life, and Love, healing and
saving the world from sin and death…” (Church Manual 19:1)
